Schiller (Ambient, Electronic, New Age)

Το μουσικό σχήμα Schiller είναι το κυρίως εγχείρημα του Κρίστοφερ φον Ντέυλεν (Christopher von Deylen), ενός Γερμανού συνθέτη ηλεκτρονικής μουσικής. Ο φον Ντέυλεν συνθέτει μουσική που μπορεί να χαρακτηριστεί ως trance και ατμοσφαιρική. Εφόσον ο ίδιος δεν τραγουδάει στα κομμάτια του, συχνά συνεργάζεται με άλλους γνωστούς τραγουδιστές στο ηλεκτρονικό είδος, όπως τους Πίτερ Χέππνερ, Κιμ Σάντερς, Μάγια Σαμπάν, «miLú», Σάρα Μπράιτμαν, Μόγια Μπρένναν ή Αλεξάντερ Βελιάνοφ, και μουσικούς όπως τον Μάικ Όλντφιλντ.

Το όνομα του συκροτήματος προέρχεται από τον γνωστό Γερμανό ποιητή Φρήντριχ Σίλερ.

Η συλλογή Weltreise (γερμ. Διεθνές Ταξίδι) είναι εμπνευσμένη από ένα διμηνιαίο ταξίδι που ο φον Ντέυλεν έκανε με τον πατέρα του από το Λονδίνο στο Πεκίνο.

Η τέταρτη συλλογή του Schiller τιτλοφορείται Tag und Nacht (γερμ. Ημέρα και Νύχτα). Διανεμήθηκε στην Γερμανία από την δισκογραφική εταιρεία Universal Music στα τέλη φθινοπώρου του 2005. Στην Ελλάδα ήταν πολύ δημοφιλής, καταλαμβάνοντας μέχρι και την 5η θέση κατά την διάρκεια της κυκλοφορίας της, και υποχωρώντας στην 11 θέση μέχρι τα μέσα Μαΐου του 2006.
