New Order!



Μια από τις μεγαλύτερες εγγλέζικες μπάντες της δεκαετίας ’80, οι New Order γεννήθηκαν απο τις στάχτες των Joy Division στο Manchester, πριν 20 χρόνια. Σίγουρα κάτι αρκετά δύσκολο, να συνεχίσεις, ύστερα απο το θάνατο του αυτόχειρα Ian Curtis. Κάτι σαν τους Doors χωρίς τον Jim Morrison...

Κι όμως, οι New Order τα καταφέρνουν και συνεχίζουν με μια σειρά υπέροχων albums και singles (από το Blue Monday μέχρι το Crystal). Τι περισσότερο μπορεί να πει κανείς για τα άτομα που δημιούργησαν τη λεγόμενη “dance rock” σκηνή του σήμερα, ενα συγκρότημα-θεμέλιο του New Wave. Charlatans, Stone Roses, Primal Scream, Chemical Brothers, μέχρι και οι Smashing Pumpkins, είναι μερικά μόνο ονόματα που τους χρωστούν πάρα πολλά. Είναι τα άτομα που συνίδρυσαν το club Haçienda, δίνοντας πνοή στη σκηνή του Manchester.
